How to decide on your perfect wedding venue...
Unless you are lucky enough to have always had the perfect wedding venue in mind... maybe a place you've always dreamt about getting married in? But if this isn't you, then trying to decided on the perfect wedding venue can be very difficult!
Have a think about the weddings that you've been to as a guest... was there a particular venue that stood out? Was there any elements of any of these venues that stood out? Perhaps it was a grand stair case? A marque dripping in fairy lights? Or maybe it was a quirky location, such as a zoo!
Trying to find a theme or an idea to run with can really help when trying to narrow down your perfect place to get hitched,
For my partner and I, it was a theme but also a feeling... we got engaged in Paris and are both obsessed with anything to do with Paris. We knew that this could be a theme we could carry through to pretty much any venue. However we both have an interest in older properties, we're both National Trust members and we love historic, old, period buildings - and we're obsessed with Downton Abbey too, so we felt that we needed to find a venue that could encapsulate all of this...
Next stop... Google!
We started Googling stately homes and historic venues in this area and instantly fell in love with Soughton Hall, The beautiful grade II listed building in Sychdyn, Flintshire stood out from the very start... but looking at images online just isn't enough. A visit in person is a must!
If we were not almost 100% confident that Soughton Hall was the right place for us, we definitely were after we visited!
Get brainstorming as soon as possible... give yourself enough time to view as many potential properties as necessary!
